Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have ended their relationship, marking another shift in their on-again, off-again romance. This news comes just one month after the couple publicly revealed they were expecting a child together.
According to multiple reports, the “Jennifer’s Body” actress and the musician have officially called it quits. Representatives for both Megan and MGK have not yet commented on the matter.
The couple’s relationship journey has been highly publicized since they began dating in 2020. They announced their engagement in 2022, capturing media attention with their passionate and unconventional love story. On November 11, Megan confirmed her pregnancy with a symbolic Instagram post referencing a past miscarriage. The post featured a photo of her cradling her baby bump while covered in black liquid, accompanied by a heartfelt caption, “Nothing is ever really lost,” followed by a heart and baby emoji.
Megan, who shares three children—Noah (10), Bodhi (9), and Journey (7)—with ex-husband Brian Austin Green, revealed that her kids were thrilled about having a new sibling. “The kids are all super excited for another addition to the family,” she shared in an interview with People on December 2. “They have promised to help out and pitch in.”
For Megan, the journey to expand her family hasn’t been easy. In a 2023 interview, she opened up about experiencing a miscarriage while expecting a baby with MGK. “I’ve never been through anything like that in my life,” she shared on Good Morning America. “It was very difficult for both of us and sent us on a very wild journey together and separately, trying to navigate, ‘What does this mean?’ and ‘Why did this happen?’”
Despite the challenges, both Megan and MGK have expressed their deep love for parenthood. MGK, who has a 15-year-old daughter, Casie, with his ex Emma Cannon, has spoken about his determination to be a better parent than his own. “As much as people say I’m a mess, I pray that I have the connection I didn’t have with my parents with my kid,” he stated on the Life Lessons YouTube series in 2015. “When I’m with her, nothing else matters.”
In a 2021 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, MGK shared his hopes for his daughter, saying, “I just pray to every God that exists that she keeps that bounce forever and that no one interferes with that.”
Similarly, Megan has emphasized the importance of her role as a mother and how it shapes her children’s future relationships. In a 2023 interview with Women’s Wear Daily, she said, “It’s very important for me to raise boys who are able to have a very deep emotional intimacy with their partner.” She added that her ultimate goal for her children is to raise them to love in a “really healthy way.”
Their relationship has faced its share of ups and downs, including previous rumors of a breakup. During a March interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper, Megan acknowledged that their engagement had been called off at one point but didn’t provide many details. “What I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption,” she said. “I refer to him as my ‘twin soul,’ and there will always be a tether to him no matter what.”
While the exact reasons for their latest breakup remain unknown, the news of their separation has left fans wondering what the future holds for the former couple.
